It's not often I photograph a family without young children, as we get older we seem to navigate away from family photo's but really this is the time we should embrace them.  Unfortunately one of the reasons people come for a session is due to illness, that big ugly C word rears its unwanted head and we realise what is important in life and memories are most definitely one of them. 

Recently my best friend asked for a session because that big ugly C word came along.  I have known the Cosh's for over 25 years, school runs, sleep overs, camping holidays, we have done all of it, they are like family to me so it was a no brainer to say yes.  We know that the cancer will have it's butt kicked, it's a happy ending, but it is also a reminder.  Get in that family photo, don't worry about how you look, you can't relive the moment, you can't recapture it.  Be a part of your family's history...
