FAQ

What type of sessions do you do?

I photograph newborns, sitter sessions, cake smashes and maternity sessions all in my home studio.

How do I book you?

The best way to book a session with me is by emailing [email protected] or by clicking the contact tab up above.

When should I book?

I recommend you book in for your session as early as you can as I only take a limited number of sessions per month.  If you are pregnant and want a maternity shoot, between 30-34 weeks is ideal.  Newborns are best captured in the first 2 weeks earth-side.  Sitter sessions are best when the baby can sit independently.  Cake Smash sessions are usually held around 1 month before your baby's 1st birthday.

How long is a session?

Newborns can range from 2-3 hours, most other sessions usually take about 30/45 minutes.

Where are you located?

My home studio is in Augustine Heights, close to Brookwater and Springfield lakes, about 40 minutes west of the Brisbane CBD.

What can I expect from a studio session?

My sessions are designed to be easy and stress-free, they are held on weekday mornings in my studio and I usually only have one session per day.  I have a studio room with a separate sitting area and bathroom facilities.  I will take enough photographs to fill your gallery for your chosen session which are available approximately 2 weeks after your session.  Once you book with me, I will send out a detailed information guide about your chosen session.

How much do you cost? Why do you cost more/less than other photographers?

My package prices are available on my website, a full price list is available on request.  My prices reflect my time, experience, equipment, running costs and suppliers.  Every photographer has their costs that affect their pricing.

Can I buy the unedited images?

Professional photographers take what are called RAW images, these images are only suitable for opening in editing software and are the base we use to create your final photos, these are not available to clients.

Are you immunised against whooping cough?

Yes, I keep my immunisations up to date to keep babies safe.

How do you keep your studio safe from illness?

Between every session, the studio is cleaned and all blankets, wraps and clothing are washed.  If a newborn session is booked that will be the only photography session held that day.  I will also ask any client who is unwell to postpone their session, likewise if I have a family member or I am unwell I will ask to reschedule appointments.  Only clients and their immediate family are currently invited into the studio and I have a separate sitting area to my studio to allow for social distancing.
