Welcoming a newborn into your family is a truly special time, but those early weeks can pass in a blur of feedings, sleepless nights, and endless nappy changes. A professional newborn photography session allows you to freeze these precious first moments, capturing the tiny details that change so quickly. While getting ready for photos and venturing out with your little one may feel overwhelming, these are the moments you’ll cherish forever.

When to Book Your Newborn Photography Session 

Newborn photography sessions are best scheduled within the first two weeks after birth, while your baby is still sleepy and naturally curled up. To secure a session, it’s best to book while you’re still pregnant. A deposit is required to hold your spot around your due date, and once your baby arrives, you can notify me so we can finalise the session date.

Newborn Photography Session Details

• Location: Sessions take place on weekday mornings at my Augustine Heights photography studio, a warm and relaxing space designed for newborn comfort.
• Duration: Expect your session to last between 1.5 to 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling your baby.
• Family Involvement: Parents and siblings are welcome to be part of the session, ensuring you capture beautiful family portraits alongside newborn images.

My Style – Timeless, Natural & Minimalist

I focus on a natural and timeless newborn photography style, avoiding bright colours and excessive props. Instead, I provide a curated selection of neutral blankets, wraps, and newborn clothing for a soft, elegant aesthetic. To create a cohesive look, parents and siblings are encouraged to wear neutral tones that complement each other beautifully in photos.

After Your Session – Viewing & Ordering Your Images

• Within two weeks, you’ll receive a private online gallery link to view your fully edited, high-quality newborn photos.
• You can then select your preferred photography package based on your chosen images.
• Once payment is finalised, you’ll receive high-resolution digital images, and any custom wall art or prints will be ordered for collection.
