Hello, I’m Marissa, the owner and photographer behind Pretty Little Pictures. I’m a creative at heart — someone who has always loved art, design, and the beauty of capturing life’s quiet, fleeting moments.
I’ve been photographing families casually for over ten years, and after some time spent focusing on my own family, I’m so excited to be back behind the camera again. These days, my husband works FIFO, and our two teenage children are in high school, which means I can dedicate more of my time to doing what I love — creating meaningful, timeless portraits for other families.
My home studio in Augustine Heights, just west of Brisbane, is a calm and welcoming space designed for relaxed, baby-led photography sessions. I want every parent who walks through my door to feel at ease — to take a breath, unwind, and simply enjoy this special moment in time.
Over the years, my style has evolved from traditional posed photography to something much more natural, organic, and timeless. I adore working with soft, neutral tones and simple white backdrops that keep the focus on what truly matters — your connection, your love, and those little details that make your family unique.
Each session is gentle and unrushed, allowing babies to lead the way. Whether it’s a newborn session, a maternity shoot, or a baby milestone session, my goal is to create images that feel pure and effortless — photographs that will remain beautiful for years to come.
